Superman v Batman: Dawn of Justice

Starting where Man of Steel left off, this movie depicts the struggle of superheros dealing with criticism from the public and their own epic internal battles. Bruce Wayne watches so much of what he has built ripped down in destruction, and looks for his own brand of revenge. It’s not long before he sets his target on Superman, that other caped crusader, who happens to be the antithesis to what Batman stands for. Superman is struggling with battles of his own, and with a public that questions whether or not he should be allowed to take matters into his own hands. It is a darker and more bruting take on Superman and Batman’s relationship. For die hard fans, it will be worth the watch…and then there is Wonder Woman….Watch this film when you are in the mood for action and beautiful visual effects.

Saturday Movies Gone Girl

Gone Girl

A movie that starts out as whodunit thriller always ask you to question everything that you know about the crime. This film takes it even further, when the story turns and you learn who is the real murderer. If you are in the mood for a fresh take on a murder mystery, this is a good pick for you. This film brings new meaning to the depths a woman scorned will go.

Saturday Movies Argo

This film chronicles the real events regarding hostages in the middle eastduring the late 1970’s. In order to safely remove them from the country, the CIA in cohoots with Canada devised an elaborate plan. The main crux of the plan involved the fake filming of a sci-fi movie, Argo. This story sucks you into the thrill and the fear associated with pulling a heist right under someone’s nose. Great for a movie night with friends.

Saturday Movies Armageddon

This is the sci-fi disaster movie that is most notable for its Aerosmith soundtrack. It follows a group of blue color deep core drillers that are sent by NASA to stop an asteroid that is on a collision course with earth. Although this movie is often compared with Deep Impact, which had a similar plot, Armageddon is more of a big popcorn kind of movie. There is a love story, there are lots of disasters (thanks to Michael Bay), and not so much scientific accuracy. If you are in the mood for a blockbuster, this may be the right film for you.

Saturday Movies Good Will Hunting

Good Will Hunting

This is an oldie but goody that features Matt Damon and Ben Affleck in some raw acting roles, with the late Robin Williams rounding out the cast. This is a movie about a genius misfit that is living an ordinary life while working at an extraordinary place. He struggles with his own identity, and what to do with this gift that he has. He wants to be more like everyone else, but he can’t help the fact that he is different, and has to figure out how to navigate his life. A good movie to study too, since there is smartness all around. Also a great movie for coding to.
