This film is based on the true story of Ana Wallace. Ana is a woman living with HIV, which she contracted from her boyfriend when they were both cocaine users. Ana works at a community center, helping to prevent HIV and AIDS as well as providing support for HIV and AIDS patients. She is also raising her daughters and struggling to connect with them, especially her oldest. Her youngest doesn’t remember what it was like to have a mom who was also a drug addict, but her oldest resents her for it. It is a compelling story about real people going through adversity and pain, but overcoming their obstacles. This isn’t a movie that will make you cry, but it will make you think.
